Below is a list of the medical services we offer:

Diagnosis and Treatment: Sudden illness or injury

At Five Star ER, we treat any injury or sudden illness, just like a hospital emergency room. Our combination of in-house x-ray, ultrasound, and CT imaging, and onsite laboratory services give our physicians the information they need to quickly diagnose and treat your medical emergency—so you can get on with your life.

X-ray: Prompt medical diagnosis

Five Star ER provides onsite x-ray services for prompt medical diagnosis. An x-ray is a quick, painless test that allows physicians to see inside the body to properly diagnose specific illnesses and injuries—especially possible broken bones.

CT Scan: Imaging that gives you answers

Five Star ER physicians utilize state-of-the-art computerized tomography (CT) scans to thoroughly analyze any soft tissue damage. CT scans combine a series of x-ray views taken from many different angles with computer processing to create a cross-sectional image of the bones and soft tissue inside the body.

Lab: In-house tests for a quicker solution

Five Star ER’s onsite laboratory allows specimen collection, processing, analysis, and reporting in a fast, efficient manner, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Working with Your Insurance

Five Star ER is a freestanding emergency room. We function just like a hospital-based emergency room. We accept your ER co-pay at the time of service, and emergency room claims will be submitted to your insurance carrier.

In Texas, all emergency room visits will be processed as in-network regardless of the network status. Therefore, our visit to Five Star ER will be processed under your in-network benefits. We participate in all major, commercial insurance carriers. However, please contact your insurance provider for specifics of your emergency room coverage.

Because the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services does not yet recognize independent freestanding emergency departments, Five Star ER does not participate in Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare.
