Five Star ER Promotes Marysol Imler to Vice President
Five Star ER Now Hiring for More Than 60 Jobs in Central Texas as It Nears
Completion of Two New Freestanding Emergency Rooms
Austin, TX, July 9, 2015 – As Five Star ER prepares for the opening of two additional locations to provide emergency care for the growing Central Texas population, the company today announced the promotion of Marysol Imler to Vice President. Imler will plan and direct operations for all Five Star ER locations, including overseeing financial, marketing, design and patient-experience functions.
Imler was also recently elected to serve a two-year term as a board member for the Texas Association of Freestanding Emergency Centers (TAFEC), an organization whose members provide timely access to high-quality emergency medical care and educate the public, business entities and legislators on the numerous benefits freestanding emergency rooms provide to their communities.
”Marysol has a unique blend of experience in nursing, health care consulting and emergency department design that will establish Five Star ER as a leader in providing the best patient experience for freestanding ERs in Central Texas,” said Brian Aldred, MD, Medical Director, Five Star ER.
Imler’s immediate focus is hiring for more than 60 positions for Five Star ER facilities, including the Round Rock location, open since late January, as well as the locations opening later this summer in Dripping Springs and South Austin. Interested applicants can apply at fivestarer.com/careers.
“Austin is expanding 360 degrees, and residents from Georgetown and Round Rock to Dripping Springs and Kyle need access to high-quality emergency care without having to drive into the city limits,” Imler said. “Five Star ER offers residents access to a patient-centered, personalized approach to care, near their home. Our goal for Five Star ER, and for TAFEC, is to expand emergency care into the community and make ER visits a better experience for patients during a stressful time.”
A Central Texas resident for more than 20 years, Imler began her nursing education at Austin Community College and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. She brings a wide and diverse skill set to her new position, including more than a decade of experience in nursing and health care consulting. Her clinical career comprises work as an emergency department nurse, as well as critical care and surgical nursing at various locations. Imler has a passion for developing award-winning design that facilitates award-winning patient care. She has written and spoken extensively about effective design of emergency departments, focusing on the needs of both patients and the health care workers who serve them.
Five Star ER is a state-licensed emergency center and is open 24/7/365. The center provides the same high-quality medical care patients seek in a traditional hospital-based emergency room, differentiating the patient treatment experience through a highly personalized approach within a family-friendly, healing environment and comfortable setting. The approach to care has been streamlined to make each minute count, moving patients into a private room and in front of a board-certified emergency physician within minutes.
The design of the facility, guided by Five Star ER’s award-winning team including Imler, focuses on the needs of both patients and the healthcare workers who serve them. Covered entryways, ample parking, modern lounge furnishings and secure Wi-Fi work together to create a relaxing, comfortable setting for patients, family and friends.
